passing
for anybody who is not genderally challenged...lol, i love makin up words...here is an educational post.
last post on transgender education, we discussed "packies". this time, we are focusing on "passing".
to the gender binary world, "passing" simply means the act of appearing or successfully "passing" as a member of the opposite end of the binary. for instance, i "pass" daily as a male...but am biologically female.
here is something that happened today:
i walked in to havana house (a local tobacco shop) and was looking at pipes. a guy that works there came up behind me, addressed me as dude and did a form of some masculine handshake/high-five combination with me...and helped me out. he didn't even suspect that the bulge in my jeans wasn't the same genetically as his...he wasn't even concerned. all he saw was short hair, masculinity and no visible breasts...so his brain registered me as a fellow man. i'm getting very nicely accustomed to actually passing as a male day in and day out...making me so happy...thinking maybe i really can do this comfortably and be someday complete.
oh, and a new pic of me!!!
redid my hair cuz the color was all faded...and tried out a different facial hair technique.
